Parkonomy.com, the innovative online parking technology start-up has launched a Pay By Mobile solution which aims to revolutionise the UK and Europe’s car parking landscape.
Parkonomy.com is using an innovative multi-channel solution that seamlessly integrates SMS, voice and payment channels. Drivers will be able to use their mobile phones to make payments, eliminating the need to remember to carry change for the Pay and Display machine.
Parkonomy.com is branding this Pay By Mobile and it completes the company’s spectrum of payment options, which includes payment in advance via a secure internet connection or using branded systems, such as Pingit.
Once the driver has parked, they send an SMS text message to a short code provided on the car park’s ticket machine and will then receive an automated voice call with instructions for the credit card payment. Credit card details are then saved securely via tokenisation so that future payments can be made with even greater ease. A set of highly sophisticated APIs trigger SMS, IVR and payment messages so that the process of paying for parking can be securely completed within moments, crucially removing the need for internet connectivity.
